As part of our commitment to supporting the community, RPYC have chosen the following organisations.  If you are looking for an cause to support, we encourage you to support one of the worthy causes below.  You will find links to each organisation below.

Australian Sports Foundation

RPYC has embarked on a journey to foster and develop Australia’s next generation of sailing champions via the Elliot 7 Youth Training Project. To achieve the goals set out, our Club has partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).

Sailability

RPYC are proud to host this nationally recognised not-for-profit organisation, based out of our Crawley Club House. Sailability are a fantastic community of dedicated volunteers, offering weekly sailing opportunities for people with a disability, regardless of their ability, mobility or circumstances.

 

Give a Feed (Foodbank)

In 2019, RPYC reached out to Give a Feed WA to assist their efforts in supporting families in need over the Christmas holiday season. Every year since, our Club community has rallied together to donate nearly 350 Christmas Hampers to this fantastic charity.

Camp Quality

For nearly three decades, RPYC have proudly hosted a Camp Quality Day in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Mount Lawley, where Members come together to offer sailing and boating experiences to children and families who are living with cancer. This event is always a fantastic day filled with laughter and cheer for children and their families.

Starlight Foundation

Starlight Children’s Foundation is about Brightening the lives of sick kids.  In conjunction with Swan River Sailing and Sailability, the Club hosts the Starlight WA Extravaganza providing an day of adventures out on the water and just as much fun and laughter back onshore.  It’s the perfect way to help kids forget about all things medical!

Make a Wish Foundation

RPYC work with the Make-a-Wish foundation to offer children and their families on-water experiences when requested.

Variety Club

RPYC work with Variety to host events for the charity at the Club.

Canteen

RPYC proudly supports life cyle for canteen each year through the provision of catering and volunteer support. Life Cycle is a registered charity which runs events for OnRoad and OffRoad cyclists in WA. The OnRoad cycling event started in 1998 and is held on the weekend after the long weekend in March, when we ride from Perth to Busselton over three days.

Life Cycle is the biggest community fundraiser for Canteen in Australia

 Fishability

RPYC are proud advocators of this organisation, who offer recreational fishing opportunities and experiences to children, adults and families who require support. A fantastic initiative promoting and facilitating inclusivity, self-esteem and well-being within the greater community.
