Keelboat Tricky Skills Development Course

Are you a bit anxious when picking up a mooring or even worse picking up a lost crew?

Here is your golden opportunity to join us to get all of these things sorted! Whilst the topics listed below are all pretty serious, we are going to have heaps of fun conquering the skills.

We are going to blitz: MOB, picking up a mooring, coming alongside jetty and securing boat, leaving and returning to pen, a couple of handy knots  and finally coming alongside another boat.

To celebrate our numerous successes we will finish with a de-briefing in the Wardroom.

When: Sunday September 15th 0800 – 1200
Where: Meet at the Dinghy Club

Bring: sailing gear, snacks and drinks

Yoga by the Bay

Stretch your way into Sunday and join us for a relaxing morning by the river.

Expert yoga instructor Rosanna from ‘Body Scape Yoga’ will be taking you through a combination of restorative & dynamic postures – suited to both beginners and advanced yogis.

Why not enjoy Brunch up in the wardroom after? Served from 8:30am until 11am every Sunday morning!

Recreational Skippers Ticket Training

Have you ever been watching him drive the boat and thought “I can do that!” or even “I can do that better!!”?

If so, it’s time to get RST certified!

Okay, there is a bit of study to do, but so worth the reward. Take up this fantastic and unique opportunity to learn within a supportive and friendly environment – and don’t worry, making mistakes is part of the experience!

Registration is essential BEFORE SEP. 6TH to ensure you receive your RST Workbook in preparation for the theory exam and practical assessment which is conducted on this training day (a brief re-fresher is provided before the assessments).

When: Saturday September 28th 0900 – 1500
Where: Meet at the Club House, Crawley

Bring: boating gear, lunch, snacks, drinks and study resources
