Dinghy Division
Royal Perth Yacht Club incorporates a dinghy division which caters for adults, senior teens, junior teens and pre-high schoolers.

Dinghy sailing activities are predominantly on Sunday, with boats rigged and launched from the protected lawn areas in front of Dinghy Division club rooms.
Dinghy Division supports training and coaching programs as well as learn to sail courses.
RPYC actively supports member participation in interclub competitions as well as state, national and international events.
Participants in Dinghy Division are expected to contribute some time towards volunteer activities such as busy bee’s, shop and rescue boats. Where children/teens are participating, parents are asked to fill this role. The Club runs courses to assist volunteers learn and understand the 'behind the scene' work involved in running a yacht club.
Yacht Classes
- RPYC currently hosts 6 fleets. Each fleet has a fleet representative who co-ordinates fleet activities within the Club.
- The Club has boats available in each class on a hire basis for individuals to determine whether they wish to join a fleet.
- Select a yacht type to see if it meets your needs or interest.
- The pacer is used by the Club for most learn to sail and team racing events.
- The Club also manages 6 Bakewell-White 8s on which our youth teams practice to be able to participate in youth related keel boat competition.

2008/2009 SAILING PROGRAM
- The Dinghy Division summer program commences Saturday 11th October 2008 and closes April 2009
- Dinghy Division also runs a winter sailing program with sailing organised on the first Sunday of each month
- The Red Book program indicates the competitive racing program for the sailing year. Note; winter sailing dates are not listed - contact class representative to determine dates
DINGHY DIVISION FACILITIES
- Dinghy Division grounds are grassed and run to the waters edge
- Junior members of Dinghy Division have their own club rooms, complete with billiard table and change rooms
- Senior members have full use of both Dinghy Division facilities and the main buildings of the Yacht Club
- A shop serving lunches and confectionary is open on race days. This is manned on a rotating basis by volunteers from the various classes
- Dinghy Division storage is in racks located in secure compounds. An annual fee is payable for boat storage
- Several rubber ducks are used as rescue boats on race days. These are maintained by the Club
