Event Details

Royal Perth Yacht Club E-Series

With all Sailing suspended for the foreseeable future, we know that many Members will soon be missing their competitive and social engagement with fellow Members.
Never fear, RPYC has you covered with the perfect solution!

Royal Perth Yacht Club in partnership with the Royal Yachting Association will be utilising the online virtual E-Sailing platform, Virtual Regatta Inshore.

This online sailing simulator is affiliated with World Sailing as well as Sail GP. Virtual Regatta delivers high intensity online racing, that is not only compliant with the well-known Racing Rules of Sailing, but is also FREE!

Within the program there is a comprehensive ‘Sailing School’ section for users to practice their (e-sailing) boat handling and understand the informational interface before tackling their first race.

We hope that Members who are keen to compete in the online races will complete the ‘Sailing School’ and sail in a few open online races within the program prior to entering a RPYC Race. Why not link up with your crews or fleets and race each other to gain some valuable match practice?

As stated, the Virtual Regatta program is free to play and is available on PC, Apple and Android devices. However, the program does provide ‘in game purchases’ for credits towards bonus content, extra boats, graphics etc.

Please note, it is not a requirement of Members to purchase any of the paid content to participate in the Royal Perth Yacht Club E-Series.
