Introduction to Time Trialling Session

Sunday May 21

1.30pm

Wardroom.

The members of the Powerboat Section of RPYC are holding an Introduction to Time Trialling Session just prior to the start of the Powerboat Season.

Members with a vessel capable of navigating under power at a speed between 5 and 15 knots can compete, whether it be a power boat or sail boat. A boat’s team is comprised of a skipper and navigator/timekeeper.

Those without a boat and who are interested in participating in time trialling are also welcome to learn to navigate/time keep.

The session will include information such as the concept of time trialling, an overview of the courses on the river, and the time keeping process .

Time permitting it is planned to take out a few boats for a practice session in maintaining a set speed and navigating a course.
